Membership

SSV Couples Golf Club is a membership based organization created to provide added social interaction for couples who are part of the SSV community.  With semi-competitive golf as the organizing factor, the club provides an opportunity for members to create social bonds with a large number of like-minded members of the SSV community.  The structure of the Couples Golf Club's golf activities, played each Friday from October through April, offers golfers of any skill level a chance to participate in this large group activity.  

In addition to golf, Couples offers social activities on some Friday evenings providing an opportunity to get to know  more community members beyond those who share the golf experience.  With more than 160 members, Couples includes individuals who are married, domestic partners, and individuals who play golf as partners for just that activity.  Typicaly, Couples has two Dinner Social events from November through March.  For full time residents, Couples also offers a summer schedule with some less structured but still fun social activity.

Couples Golf Season runs from November through the following April.  There is informal Couples Golf from May  through October.  Golf Events for Couples offer both 18 hole and 9 hole options.  There is a sign up sheet in the Pro Shop for Couples Golf along with the sign up sheets for the other golf leagues.  In order to get into a game on any  Friday you must have signed up by noon on the previous Wednesday.  On Thursday afternoon the Pro Shop will publish to pairings for Friday morning on the Golf Course Web Site.  During the Season each player is required to pay $3 fee for the "Chits" in the Pro Shop that you may win as a result  of the day's play.  This is in addition to paying your greens fee if you do not have a Pass.  The results of the scoring for the day are typically posted on the Golf Course Web Site sometime after 4PM that day.

The dues required for Couples Golf are as follows:

Dues:  

• Club Year, November 1st- October 31st. Dues $35.00/person with $70.00/Couple.  

• If member joins between April 1st- August 31st, Dues $17.00/person with $34.00/Couple.  

• If member joins September 1st- October 31st, Dues will be $35.00/person with $70.00/Couple. Will cover  current year and include next year.  

• Check Payable to: SSV CG  (an option to make this payment by credit card is being considered - details to come)
